At Dixieland Saddles, we now make our own 100% real wool felt pads to match our Endurance, Round and Butterfly Skirt Saddles. These pads feature the following: -100% real wool felt- the best top quality virgin wool available, pressed, high density -3/4" thick -leather wear leathers -specially designed wither and backline for the best fit for the gaited horse -20% less cinching necessary, and more compression protection than synthetic neoprene pads -real wool felt molds to your horses back and provides more compression resistance -wicks moisture from the horse better than any other material and eliminates heat build-up -easy maintainence and cleaning-just use a rubber curry to remove hair and clean dirt. Wash after apr. 100 hours of use - do not use soap- hold pad and rinse from center of pad to outer edges, allowing dirty water to flow away from pad. When water flows clearly, hang pad to dry- never lay upside down. Similar pads retail for $175 and up, but we are offering our pads for $135 when ordering a saddle, or to former customers.
