Saddle Styles and Options
1)REGULAR WEIGHT SADDLES
When deciding on a saddle, your first decision should be the type of skirting you prefer.  The skirting is the layer of leather that lays next to the horse and can be cut
many different ways and we offer the following skirt options FOR THE REGULAR WEIGHT ALL LEATHER SADDLES

Butterfly Skirting is cut away behind the riders leg to give closer
contact with the horse at the leg area.   If you lay the pattern flat it
resembles the look of a "butterfly"
B) ENDURANCE SKIRT

Endurance skirting has the skirt cut higher
at the back of the saddle where the horses
hip is.
3) ROUND SKIRT

Round skirt has the skirting cut evenly
in front and back and is not cut away
behind the riders leg like the butterfly

3) LIGHT RIDER SADDLES
Our light rider saddles are the lighter weight versions of the endurance and butterfly skirt saddles.
The difference is there is less
skirting on these saddles and the rigging is always in skirt, which keeps the weight slightly less.

4) SWELL OPTIONS

We offer 2 different swells (or pommels) on our saddles.  The first is a western style which can be made with OR without a horn.  The second in a plantation swell,
which is the more narrow style below:
WESTERN SWELL BELOW WITH OR WITHOUT HORN                                 PLANTATION SWELL BELOW
5) Rigging Options
We offer both INSKIRT rigging and drop rigging on our saddles.  INSKIRT rigging is when the ring that you attach your girth to is set in the skirting of the
saddle.  Drop rigging is where the ring that you attach your girth to is attached directly to the tree with leather straps.  Regardless of which option you choose,
you can do both traditional rigging or the enduro balanced rigging (v-rigging).
A) Drop rigging is where the ring is set outside the skirting of the saddle and is attached to the
tree with leather straps- above shows an endurance and butterfly skirt saddle with the drop
rigging
B) INSKIRT rigging is  where the rigging is attached directly to the skirting of the
saddle.  Double in skirt rigging can be done on endurance and round skirt saddles
and is shown above left. For saddles with a butterfly skirt, we can do a single in skirt
like on the right
7) FENDER OPTIONS:
We offer both the traditional western fenders which use a
blevins buckle for adjustment and the English Trooper
Fender, which has a english strap and buckle for
adjustment.  -Either is available on any saddle style.

6) CANTLE OPTIONS
This is the area behind where you sit.  All of our saddles have a 5 inch
cantle and can be finished out several different ways.  No one style is
better than
cantle we can custom order a tree with a shorter cantle for an additional
